Spring Wardrobe Essentials

Spring means a few things around these parts.

The first thing is that I now in order to live and breath I need a constant dose of Claritin D.  Second, I’m going to think I don’t need a coat (I do).  And third, 30% of my brain will be dedicated to debating a spray tan until September.

Spring brings on a lot of newness and sometimes knowing what to wear can be a challenge.

It’s easy to let the back and forth weather of a city like Chicago send you into a tailspin of ” I have nothing to wear!” or worse, constant yoga pants and hoodies. Don’t worry, I’ve been there and I’m not judging you.

One of the easiest things to do is take a summer dress, throw a denim or leather jacket over it, and put on some booties.  The jacket is both the perfect touch and a practical wardrobe decision, as most establishments are somewhere between a we-don’t-have-our-air-on-yet sauna and the IceHotel in Sweden.

I’m also all about that pop of color for Spring.  Now I’m not saying no more black (because let’s be real, we are still city girls).  This can be in the form of a vibrant hot pink lip stain or some sassy yellow pumps.  But that touch so effortlessly says, “I’ve survived winter and I’m ready to slay.”

As always though, wear what makes you comfortable and most importantly, happy.  You’ll radiate dopeness when you’re feeling confident!
